It’s that time again. A month and a half has gone by, and honestly it felt like it moved very slowly. But starting tomorrow, I’ll be continuing the journey overseas. I truly missed it—everything about it. The freedom, the new experiences, the feeling of waking up in a different place and not knowing what the day might bring.
I came back home with a plan. The goal was to take care of the important things that needed my attention before leaving again. Things like filing my taxes and handling responsibilities that would make it easier for me to stay on the road long term. I wanted to make sure there would be no need for me to return home for years to come unless there was a true family emergency. Thankfully, everything went according to plan and I was able to get those things taken care of.
Now it’s time to get back to what I love—traveling.
There were many options when it came to choosing the next destination. I spent a lot of time thinking about where to go next because there are so many incredible places in the world. In the end, I decided to stay in this region and head to the Dominican Republic. It’s a place I’ve never been before, which always adds to the excitement. There’s something special about experiencing a country for the very first time.
My first stop will be Santo Domingo, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the capital city has to offer. From the culture and history to the food and the people, I’ve heard many great things about the Dominican Republic. I’m excited to finally experience it for myself and see how it compares to everything I’ve heard.
A new country, a new city, and another chapter in this journey. Let’s see what the Dominican Republic has in store.
