Next Stop: Rio de Janeiro

After spending three months in Colombia, I can honestly say I truly enjoyed myself. It was a chapter filled with fun, growth, and unforgettable experiences. Colombia welcomed me in ways I didn’t expect — from the warmth of the people to the rhythm of everyday life, it became a place where time seemed to move both slowly and incredibly fast at the same time.

That said, every chapter has an ending. Deciding what was next and where to go wasn’t easy. There was a moment where I seriously considered staying longer — Colombia has a way of pulling you in and making you feel at home. But the whole point of this journey is to keep moving, to stay curious, and to lean into the unknown.

So, I finally made the decision and bought my ticket to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I’m beyond excited. This will be my first time visiting Brazil, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. As a beach person, I already know I’ll feel right at home — ocean views, and long days under the sun. I’m looking forward to experiencing the food, tackling the hikes, and soaking in the culture that makes Brazil so unique. And of course, seeing Christ the Redeemer in person has been on my bucket list for a long time.

More than anything, I’m excited to simply continue the journey — to embrace the highs, the challenges, and everything in between that comes with traveling full time abroad. This is what I dreamed of when I decided to leave everything behind, and with each new destination, that dream feels more real.
