The unknown is scary. Jumping into something when you have no idea what’s going to happen can be overwhelming—especially when you’re used to doing things a certain way. You get so comfortable with your routine that trying something new almost feels terrifying. But sometimes, it’s worth it.
And that’s the real question: how much is it worth to you to make a change? To be different, to do different things, and to get a different result?
I’m not just talking about leaving everything behind to move across the country—I’m talking about any goal you might have, whether it’s conventional or unconventional. Do you want it badly enough to step outside your comfort zone and make it happen?
You’ll want to quit sometimes. You’ll want to go back to being comfortable. You’ll have doubts. Not every goal will require that level of drive, but the big ones definitely will. I learned that before I left the United States, and I’m still learning it now.
