When the Mountain Tests You: Pushing Past Limits in Medellín

While hiking Cerro de las Tres Cruces, I went through so many emotions—excitement, dread, exhaustion, and finally happiness when I reached the top. My endurance was tested. Honestly, my drive was tested too, I wanted to quit so many times. It got so bad that my legs were shaking, and I felt a little embarrassed, especially since I wasn’t the only person climbing.

What pushed me to even take on this challenge is what started me on this path in the first place: seeing my friend Armani traveling full-time. I thought, if he can do it, I can too. That same thought carried me through the hike. I reminded myself, if these people can keep climbing, why can’t I? So, I kept going until I made it to the top.

And honestly, that’s just like life. Find a goal or a dream and stick with it—no matter what. It’s going to get hard. There will be moments when you want to quit, when things aren’t going your way. But if you stay focused and keep your vision in mind, you will make it happen. Most of the time, if it truly matters to you, the risk is always worth the reward.
